## Security and Compliance

### 3D Secure Authentication

All card payments are routed through 3D Secure by default. This shifts fraud liability from the merchant to the card issuer.

### PCI DSS Level 1

Card numbers never touch your servers when using Hosted Checkout or the SDK. All card data is tokenized at the point of entry.

### Regulatory Standing

Axra operates as a **Payment Service Provider (PSP) licensed by the Bank of Canada** and is a **registered Money Services Business (MSB) with FINTRAC**.

## Real-Time Webhooks

Axra Pay sends webhooks for every payment lifecycle event:

- `payment.completed` -- Payment successful
- `payment.failed` -- Payment declined or expired
- `payment.refunded` -- Refund processed
- `payment.disputed` -- Chargeback initiated

Webhooks are signed with HMAC-SHA256 and retried for up to 72 hours.

## Settlement

Axra Pay settles in **USD to your Axra wallet** in real-time for card payments and within 24 hours for mobile money and bank transfers.

From your wallet, you can hold in USD, convert to local currency, withdraw to your bank, or pay vendors directly.
