Senior Product Designer

Great design in fintech isn’t decoration — it is the thing that makes someone trust you with their money. We are looking for a Senior Product Designer who understands that distinction and can create interfaces that are simultaneously beautiful, clear, and trustworthy.

You will be the design lead on our core product: the Axra app and web dashboard. You will own everything from initial user research to final pixel — and care deeply about what happens after you hand off the file.

• ✦Own the end-to-end design of Axra’s core product — new flows and systematic improvements alike
• ✦Conduct user research and interviews to surface real insight, not just what users say they want
• ✦Maintain and evolve the Axra design system across mobile and web, with frontend engineering
• ✦Create high-fidelity prototypes for testing and developer handoff
• ✦Work with marketing on landing-page design and brand consistency
• ✦Push back — diplomatically but clearly — when decisions compromise the user experience

• ✦4+ years of product design at a consumer-facing tech company
• ✦A portfolio that shows strong visual craft alongside clear UX thinking
• ✦Deep fluency in a modern design tool — auto layout, variables, component architecture, prototyping
• ✦Experience designing mobile-first products, ideally with complex transactional flows
• ✦Ability to explain design decisions in terms of user behaviour and business outcome
• ✦Comfort working in a small design team without a large support structure

• ✦Prior experience designing financial products — banking, remittance, crypto, or insurance
• ✦Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1)
• ✦Motion design skills — we care a lot about micro-interactions
• ✦Experience working in or designing for African markets

• ✦Salary: £60,000 – £78,000, reviewed every 6 months
